PUBLIC TRANSPORT – THE BEST WAY TO GET AROUND WARSAW
  • TICKETS

– Tickets can be bought at newsstands, from vending machines at bus stops and on buses/trams. They are valid for all types of public transport (buses, trams and metro).

– Tickets must be validated immediately after entering a bus or tram. In the metro, ticket validating machines are located at gates leading to platforms and next to elevators.

– From the moment of validation, a ticket entitles you to an unlimited number of journeys for the time specified on the ticket.

– The jakdojade app will make it easier for you to travel around the city. It features public transport timetables and a route planner and you can also buy a ticket through it.

– Bikes in Warsaw can be rented at over 380 stations from 1 March to 30 November. What’s more, the first 20 minutes are free.

–    This app allows you to book a taxi from your smartphone. It works in 150 cities/10 countries in Europe and might be useful in your future travels also.

Get picked up at your current location ( no need to know the address ). Select the taxi that  suits you and follow your taxi until arrives. You can also pre book taxi up to four days in advance.

  • CHOPIN AIRPORT – WARSAW CENTRAL STATION

– You can take train or bus.

– RL train (direction: city center)

– Departures: every 30 min (5am-12pm)

– Travel duration: 25 min, 175 bus (direction: Pl. Piłsudskiego)

– Departures: every 15 min from bus terminal 02

– Travel duration: 25 min

– Chopin airport – Warsaw City Centre: cost 50-100 PLN, travel time: 25 min

  • MODLIN AIRPORT – WARSAW CENTRAL STATION

– First you have to take bus and then train

– ZL bus (to the bus stop: Modlin)

– Departures: every 18 min

– Travel duration: 10 min

– Get off at the bus stop: Warszawa Centralna RL train (direction: Lotnisko Chopina)

– Departures: every 60 min

– Travel duration: 45-60 min

– Get off at the train station: Warszawa Centralna TAXI

– Modlin airport – Warsaw City Centre: cost 100-200 PLN, travel time: 1h15 min

SIGHTSEEING

With the WARSAW PASS card, you get free admission to the most important tourist attractions. The card is available in three variants: 24 hours, 48 hours or 72 hours counted from the first time you use it. You can buy it at Warsaw Tourist Information points.
